The Mid-Atlantic Union of Vietnamese Student Associations(MAUVSA) (Vietnamese:Liên Hội Sinh Viên Việt Nam Mid-Atlantic) approved its first set of individuals who will join the Board of Advisors at its most recent summit on January 7th. After some debate and discussion over the credentials, backgrounds, and intentions of each applicant, The Council of Regional Representatives, members representing each member VSA of MAUVSA (UMCP, JMU, GMU, VCU, VT, UVA, VCU, GW, GU), voted four individuals to join our board of advisors.

Each member of the board is required by MAUVSA’s constitution to have had served on the Executive board for one term, submit a application, and require the member universities of MAUVSA to approve their appointment to the board. Appointments of each applicant this year moved by swiftly. Stephen Nguyen, President of MAUVSA, commented “All the applicants had deep resumes of commitment and dedication to our mission and community, It was a no brainer to approve them to the Board of Advisors. Our current Executive board look forward with having their input and working with them on future projects”.
